Miraculous Saint Nicholas Day

Saint Nicholas Day is celebrated on December 6th by Catholics and on December 19th by Orthodox Christians. This day is miraculous first of all for children. They are the ones who expect wonders to happen on this holiday. As adult people we just know what they want to feel and that we have to create a beautiful celebration for them. But what do we actually know about Saint Nicholas and what so special has he done to be remembered through the generations?

This particular holiday, by the way, is celebrated differently in various countries and in some is not celebrated at all. Some nations prefer their children to find gifts on this day under their pillows, others hide surprises in children’s shoes. Of course there are a lot of stories behind this holiday one of which I am glad to tell you.

Once upon a time there was a very poor man with two children. His wife has died and he had no idea how to make ends meet for his kids. And when the Christmas was coming he realized he couldn’t get any treats for children. One night they all went to sleep in their old house full of worries and when they woke up they found a sack of food under their window. They were so happy and had no ides who was their benefactor. The other night it happened again, only this time they’ve found a sack of clothes. The next night they all decided to stay awake all night to see who was that person who took care of them. Children eventually fall asleep but when father hear the footsteps on the porch he opened the window and saw a local bishop Saint Nicholas leaving another sack for him and his family. He woke up his kids and they all together opened the sack and found out it was full of shoes. But when they wanted to try them on they couldn’t fit because all the shoes were filled with walnuts, sweets and apples. It gave an origin to put presents into children’s shoes.
I think you will agree that Saint Nicholas is not so religious holiday as a celebration of human kindness and hope. This day was meant to remind us that in any situations we can create a miracle for people we care about. Sending gifts just for no reason, to remind of your warm feelings – that is what Saint Nicholas Day all about.

If you have close and loved people living in Ukraine with children you can express your love and care to them sending gifts to Ukraine. We here at UkraineGiftDelivery service will be more than happy to arrange your deliveries for those you love the most.

8 tips for Holiday Gift Giving

Christmas is in the air and in Ukraine the holiday season starts soon. December 25th, Western Christmas, is usually celebrated by Catholic Ukrainians mainly in the West of Ukraine. New Year is the most cheerful holiday and follows on December 31st, and finally Orthodox Christmas is celebrated on January 7th.

You might already be thinking of what gifts you would like to send to your loved ones in Ukraine. Today I am going to share with you eight helpful tips on Holiday Gift Giving so that this year you could give them an unforgettable gift, get the best deal, and make sure your whole gift delivery experience is flawless.

Tip 1:
The most important tip for this very busy holiday season is: Shop early, shop now. Many of our gifts are in limited supply, so by placing your order in advance you will ensure that the gifts you choose are held for you, your delivery is properly scheduled and you will avoid higher last minute delivery fees.
Remember that you can place your order any time now and mark it for delivery on Christmas or New Year. And the good news: for all orders over $150 standard delivery is free.

Tip 2:
Cash out your Reward Points. By placing your orders throughout the year you have collected reward points, now you can get 5% back. Open your account > My Rewards, choose the available number of points and click “Redeem now”. This sum will be automatically applied towards your payment.

Tip 3: When you compose a greeting message, select a Christmas greeting card so that we could put the message on it. Adding this small detail will double the joy of your special person and she or he could keep your greeting card forever to remember this moment (women love to keep greeting cards;-). All deliveries include translation of your greeting message into Russian or Ukrainian. If you prefer to send a greeting in Russian, please remember that our website does not support Cyrillic font, so please send the message directly office@ukrainegiftdelivery.com

Tip 4:
If the person you are sending a gift to has a child, younger sister, or mom living in the same household, it would be very nice of you to send some little thing for them too. It could be a smaller bouquet for mother or a toy and a box of chocolates for a child. Such a grand gesture will be unexpected and very much appreciated.

Tip 5:
Another Great news: Our Special offer in December: for all orders over $100 you can choose a free gift to go with it – a box of Raffaello or a bottle of champagne. Just make your selection during the checkout and you could make this holiday even more festive for those you love.

Tip 6:
If you wanted to send a gift to Ukraine but couldn’t find it among our collection, you can place a custom order to provide your close person with the specific present you had in mind. Please note that we stop taking custom orders in a week before Christmas due to the very busy holiday season.

Tip 7:
Taking videos of deliveries has become very popular. You can see the happiness in the eyes of your loved ones, you can hear their sweet voice, and keep this memory forever. But remember that we can take a video only with your recipient’s permission. Also, processing a video takes another business day so please expect to get your video the day after the delivery.

Tip 8:

To ensure on-time delivery of your Christmas gifts, please place your gift orders before:
For regional centers in Ukraine – December 24th, noon  Kiev time
For small towns and villages – December 23d noon Kiev time.

And here is one extra tip from me: enjoy! Our job of delivering your love and your care is one of the best in the world, and I wish you to enjoy every moment of gift selection and gift giving with Ukraine Gift Delivery service. Happy holidays!

The useful gifts of the 21st century – electronic devices

Last century is full of discoveries and innovations. Technological progress has taken a few big steps forward. Most of the times we don’t even realize the importance and need of electronic devices we have developed in our lives. We sure can talk about positive and negative sides of this fast and rapid progress, but we here in UkraineGiftDelivery try to keep positive thinking. So I would like to concentrate your attention at all the good and positive things we are getting from new technologies.

We all have those precious moments, celebrations and sweet holiday spent with our close, beloved friends and family. We always try to enjoy every little bit of it, wishing to stop the time and enjoy these particular seconds forever and ever throughout the eternity. Unfortunately these happy moments pass and become our memories. The good thing is that there is a way to capture them and look through again and again with a help of relatively new technological invention – digital cameras. High quality pictures help to recollect every single detail of that special day, full of joy and happiness.
E-book for delivery in Ukraine

Cameras are not the only electronic devices made for our convenience. Electronic book is also one of the things worth having. It gives a possibility to get away to another dimension, another reality depicted by the talented author in beautifully written books. It can be your magical getaway whether on the long journey or just while commuting throughout the big cities. If you are intended to send a gift to Ukraine such a delightful present will bring a lot of joy to smart, intelligent and romantic people. A small, simple in usage, device can hold enormous quantity of books that makes every traveling comfortable and interesting.

If your beloved people lead an active way of life MP3 player would be a great gift for them. Compact portative music player could be a good helper while working out or morning run. Favorite music bits and magical voice of the favorite singer can provide extra energy for the rest of the day and the urge to fulfill all plans. It can also make a great gift for calm and romantic walks in the park, listening to the gorgeous sounds of classic music.

And remember, it is not important what gift you choose as a present for those you love. What really matters to them is your love, care and attention. The more personal and individual surprise you will make, the more happiness and glory will appear in their hearts. So if you have an intention of sending gifts to Ukraine, make sure you chose wisely!
